Trimont FunFest is always held the second Saturday in July. FunFest showcases local talent for its live entertainment, along with games, sporting competitions, contests, a silent auction, a parade, a community church service, and a variety of food. The planning committee is composed entirely of volunteers and FunFest is funded by donations from area businesses, organizations, and individuals. FunFest is a family-oriented event with something for everyone. In 1988, Trimont Schools consolidated with neighboring Sherburn and Welcome to form the Martin County West School District.
